ON OUR SKIN

On Our Skin

The fire's getting cold; yet we still both stay.

To stoke the fragile flame, but who's to blame?

Don't leave me here in the dark; I think I deserve to know.

What is going on, what is going on?

And maybe I've been quiet too but we can bring it all to view

I just can't stand being so withdrawn...

We're all alone now,

Look into our eyes,

Our walls are getting thin

So we learn a little more; and choose to meet halfway.

In the palms of your hands; elaborate lines are traced.

We're all alone now,

Look into our eyes,

Our walls are getting thin

And if we choose to look,

I know that we will find,

Our reflections on our skin

We miscommunicate from time to time

It's no reason to throw it away

Don't be afraid
